Description
Maker’s 46, the first line addition to the Maker’s Mark range since the ’50s, is just the base expression spiced up a bit. This bourbon is meant to be a relative to the main expression, offering something distinct for individuals who enjoy spicy whisk(e)y, rather than to compete with it. By placing charred French oak staves (with the stave profile “number 46”; hence the name) within the barrels, they give the barrels an additional dimension. It’s really quite beautiful.
